How does the higher gear ratio give 47% more pulling capacity?
Mechanical advantage. The 728.5:1 reduction (vs. 460:1 in the standard PS654-EK) trades a turn of the drum for more turns of the motor — each pound of motor torque multiplies into more pounds of pulling force at the rope. Same motor, same wiring, same brake architecture, just a different gear ratio inside the housing.
