This vented backing plate is a performance upgrade to your corded 6″ Random Orbital and cordless 5″ Lithium-Ion Random Orbital. It’s a win-win as our exclusive heat management system with vertical and horizontal cooling ports delivers smoother operation, longer pad life, and better results. The plate features firm yet flexible high-density urethane foam with chamfered edges for flexibility and improved contouring over and around body panels. The plate’s center recess further reduces heat transfer. The Velcro brand Micro-Hook attachment is optimized to create the perfect balance between strong pad engagement and easy disengagement. Plate also has rotational speed markings for optimum pad speed control.
Note: Fits Griot’s Garage 6″ Random Orbitals (item 10750, 10765, or 10813), the G9 (item 10901), and random orbital/dual-action tools that accept a 5/16″ – 24 threaded shaft. Is not compatible with the four-screw mounting system on the original Griot’s Garage Random Orbital (item 10925).
