Product Overview
Repairing internal threads is a task that can be made simpler when using thread taps. These are constructed from carbon steel and eliminate chips and re-strengthen threadings. This size measures 3/8 in. – 16NC and may be used with a 5/16 in. drill bit, which produces a class 2B thread. Since these carbon taps are used for maintenance repairs, they do wear out easily. It also would be wise to have other sizes readily available if a specific size is needed for your project.
