The Bucher PM-3530 4-Way Hydraulic Power Unit is a 12V HPU with two double-acting circuits in a single pump — built for wrecker bodies and other multi-cylinder jobs. The 6-quart polyethylene reservoir feeds two power-up / power-down sections, so one HPU runs both the boom and the wheel-lift cylinders independently.
Why use a 4-way HPU instead of two separate 2-way pumps?
One reservoir, one motor, one set of wiring — half the install footprint and half the failure points. The 4-way’s two circuits run from the same fluid supply, so you don’t have to maintain two separate reservoirs or worry about one circuit running dry while the other still has oil.
