Benchmark Abrasives 8″ Flat File (Bastard Cut) are double-sided handheld files that are both bastard coarseness and double-cut. This flat metal file can be used for general stock removal purposes and de-scaling, die casting, die forging, foundry casting. It is rectangular in cross-section and can withstand wear, pressure, or damage. These metal files are used by machinists, machinery builders, ship and engine builders.
Bastard cut files have coarse teeth for rapid material removal.
