1-1/4″ FORSTNER BIT
Benchmark Abrasives 1-1/4″ Forstner Bits are MADE IN USA. Precision ground from one solid piece of heat-treated, heavy duty carbon steel, these bits can drill flat bottomed holes without splintering and are ideal for making holes in plywood and MDF board. This drill bit can create the pocket and grommet holes, countersinking screws, and drilling out knots in the wood. It features a sharp center spur that accurately locates the center of the hole. The double cavity efficiently removed chips, debris, plugs and reduces heat.
Forstner Bits are an important tool for many hardware installations where a specific depth of the hole is required. The Forstner bit is guided by the wide outside rim of the bit whereas the drill bits are guided by the tip. These bits are the perfect choice to produce flat bottomed holes. It can drill a flat-bottomed hole, making them a necessary tool for many hardware installations where a precise depth of mortise is required.
